Dr Nicos Mitsides
MBChB, MRCP UK (Neph), PGDip MedEd (Dist), PhD
Dr Mitsides is a Lecturer in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine at the University of Cyprus and practices at the Nicosia General Hospital. He graduated from the University of Manchester and completed his training in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine in the UK. Prior to his repatriation to Cyprus, he has work as a consultant Nephrologist at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. He received his PhD from the University of Manchester and hold a postgraduate diploma in clinical education form Edge Hill University. Ηis clinical and research interests focus on CKD including disease progression, patient activation and shared decision making, haemodialysis and hemodiafiltration, and technology development.

Dr Lakis Youkkas
MD
Dr Youkkas is the clinical lead of the nephrology department of Paphos General Hospital. He graduated from the medical school of the Dote Debrecen University of Hungary and completed his nephrology speciality training at the nephrology clinic of the Debrecen University Hospital in Hungary. His clinical interest lie in Chronic Kidney Disease, including cardiovascular disease and cardiorenal syndrome.

Dr Andreas Kourouklaris

Dr Kourouklaris graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and obtained his speciality title in nephrology from the University of Athens. He works as a specialist nephrologist at the Aretaeio Hospital in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Dr Michalis Spartalis
MD, PhD
Dr Spartalis is a consultant nephrologist at the Nicosia General Hospital. He graduated from the University of Thessaly in Greece and completed his training in nephrology at the Ippokration Hospital in Thessaloniki before obtaining his title for the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2023 he completed his thesis with distinction and received his PhD title form the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has also worked as a specialist at the Ekaterini Haemodialysis Unit in Greece and at the Limassol General Hospital. In addition to his haemodialysis patients, he looks after patients on peritoneal dialysis. His clinical and academic interest are in the areas of peritoneal dialysis and glomerular disease.

Dr Pavlos Georgiou
MD
Dr Georgiou graduated from the medical school of the University of Patra. He completed his speciality training in nephrology at the Nicosia General Hospital. Form 2015 to 2020 he worked as nephrology specialist at Paphos General Hospital. From 2020 to date he is the nephrologist in charge of the private haemodialysis unit STGBC Paphos Dialysis Unit.

Dr Themis Christofi
MD
Dr Christofi is a consultant nephrologist at the Department of Renal Medicine of the Nicosia General Hospital. She graduated from the medical school of the Comenius University of Bratislava in Slovakia and was granted the title of a specialist in nephrology after completing training placements in Aitoloakarnania General Hospital, in Thessaloniki University Hospital AHEPA, in Limassol General Hospital and Nicosia General Hospital.
